Although we did eventually go with a design firm that fit us to a tee, after though deliberations and hard comparing and contrast we did choose an awesome designer among the contestants to work with, Neil MacLean.

Originally from Rhode Island, Neil MacLean is a freelance graphic designer and graduate of the Corcoran College of Art +Design who (as of this Sept) now resides in NYC. His past clients include Bohemian Caverns/Liv, The White House Project, and the Tru Thoughts label. His work is clean and minimal with a focus on strong typography. You can see his work at neilmaclean.com. He has been a fan of hip-hop since 1986, when his next door neighbor gave him a Fat Boys tape.

Brooklyn Bodega announced its partnership with The J Dilla Foundation for the 2010 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival (BHF). On July 6th as part of BHF ‘10 Week, Brooklyn Bodega and The J Dilla Foundation present the Bodega Education Initiative (BEI), which will celebrate the legacy of J Dilla. The event will be hosted by the Brooklyn Historical Society. Panelists will include Hip-Hop legend Q-Tip, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey, DJ Spinna and more.
